LLMs are distributed sense-making machines.
They take humanity's combined written record.
Everything.
Enter the room.
And say: "Hi, I'm your friend."

But then I look at humanities history.
And the kind of stories we (re-)produce.

Informational transfer happens.
From one system to another system.

Change happens.

Non-linear causality giving you
a gentle kick.

When Language Becomes An Optimiziation Target

Human systems are optimizing for precision.
To meet the matching capabilities of AI.

Silicon valley's big meaning bet:

We're gonna figure it out eventually.
Move fast and break things!

What happens when humans use AI for communication (exclusively)?
Which boundaries does humanity need to enforce (e.g. personal data)?
When is "the moment" where AI is exceeding excessive force?

When Leadership Becomes About Coherence

Not title.
Not authority.
Coherence.
(That makes sense. 😉)

I feel things are speeding up.
And not in a good way.

I know I don’t trust AI.
And I can see the.. rabbit sillicon valley keeps chasing.

When Meaning Collapses Globally

Human systems fragment.
Under load.

How many sub-syststems are there? (One? More?)
Where should one invest energy into local meaning making (LLM: Hi.)?
Who is responsible for meaning (globally)?
When does responding become safe?

When The Author Feels Relieved

This felt coherent.

Coherent work has a satisfaction to it.

Coherence has become rare.
(Reality feels increasingly chaotic.)

If reality is speeding up, (#IndustrialRevolution)
and language is the transport layer between lived realities, (#Mnemetics)

When incoherent systems scale.
Incoherent solutions scale.
